Position Description:

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto office (250 Yonge St, Toronto) at a minimum 3 days per week - subject to change at any time. 

Your future duties and responsibilities:

1. Quality Engineering in Wealth Management
o Perform ETL and automation testing specifically within Wealth Management systems and workflows.
o Ensure compliance with domain-specific standards and data integrity requirements.
2. Data Validation & Backend Testing
o Work with diverse data sources (databases, text files, XML, etc.) to validate data accuracy and consistency.
o Write and execute medium-to-high complexity SQL and PL/SQL queries, including creating functions and stored procedures.
3. Data Flow & Architecture Understanding
o Analyze and understand data flow between systems and underlying data models.
o Validate data transformations and mappings across multiple layers.
4. Test Strategy & Planning
o Design test approaches, develop test strategies and plans aligned with requirements and user stories.
o Estimate testing scope and effort accurately.
5. Automation Framework Development
o Architect and build robust automated testing frameworks (Data-driven, Keyword-driven, Hybrid, or BDD).
o Implement automation using tools like Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, Maven, and Java.
6. Reporting & Documentation
o Generate detailed test reports using frameworks like Allure or Extent Reports.
o Maintain documentation in JIRA, Confluence, and manage test cases using plugins like X-ray or Zephyr.
7. Collaboration & Version Control
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Git/Bitbucket for version control.
o Ensure smooth integration of automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Mandatory Wealth Management Experience – Deep understanding of financial products, portfolio management, and related workflows.
• Technical Expertise – Strong knowledge of database systems, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes.
• Analytical Skills – Ability to analyze complex data flows and identify discrepancies.
• Automation Proficiency – Skilled in designing and implementing automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, TestNG, and BDD tools.
• Problem-Solving – Aptitude for troubleshooting data and automation issues efficiently.
• Attention to Detail – High accuracy in validating data and test results.
• Communication & Documentation – Clear articulation of test strategies, findings, and collaboration with stakeholders.
• Tools Familiarity – JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket/Git, X-ray/Zephyr, Maven, Eclipse/IntelliJ IDEA.
