Position Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team remotely. This role is critical in ensuring the security and integrity of our information systems and protecting sensitive data from cyber threats for all aspects of the Reliability and Maintainability Information System (REMIS) software development process. REMIS is a web-based data system for collecting, validating, editing, processing, integrating, standardizing, and reporting equipment maintenance data.
This position can be located remotely anywhere in the U.S.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Monitor and analyze security events and incidents to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect information systems and data
• Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices
• Respond to and investigate security incidents, providing timely and effective resolution
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the security of systems and data
• Provide security training and awareness programs to employees and stakeholders
• Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies
• Prepare and deliver security reports and presentations to senior leadership
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity
• Active Secret clearance
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices
• Experience with security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS
Controls
• Proficiency in security tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and
endpoint protection
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with
technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are highly desirable
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
• Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a
related field
• Experience working in a government or defense environment
• Knowledge of advanced persistent threats (APTs) and nation-state actors
• Experience with cloud security and securing hybrid environments
• Experience with CheckMarx and Jenkins
• Experience working with Jira and Confluence
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $99,200.00 - $219,600.00.
