We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Managed Security Services (MSS) team in Ottawa as a Technical Analyst.
The Team: Managed Security Services (MSS) team includes SOCs, deployment and support, business management, and business growth teams. We are a very collaborative close-knit team in MSS – team spirit and satisfying career growth for our members are a key focus for all of us.

MSS has an on-site technology lab which all our members can use for installation trials and proof-of-concepts, training, testing and trouble-shooting.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
The Opportunity: The Technical Analyst will:
• Perform technical support of various Cyber Security technologies
• Administer and configure various Health Monitoring tools
• Complete incident and service requests within established Service Level Agreements
• Generate, triage and resolve tickets through various ITSM Service Management tools or assign to appropriate groups if required
• Create and update various documents including Standard Operating Procedures
• Answer client phone calls and inquiries
• The successful candidate will be expected to suggest and lead initiatives to improve the teams productivity
• Be required to work shifts
Note: Since this is a 24x7x365 environment, shift work (rotation) is required.

Desired profile
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Experience, Education and skills:
• Previous experience in IT (Information Technology) and an interest in IT Security are required.
• Completion or in the process of completing a post-secondary educational program in IT Security or Computer related field from a recognized community college or university is considered an asset
• Understanding, and preferably some experience as well, of networking and TCP/IP.
• Experience with ticketing tools, including Remedy is considered an asset
• Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and able to multitask
• The successful candidate must be self-motivated, and driven to succeed
• Government of Canada Secret Clearance is required (or the ability to obtain one)
• Ability to speak and write in both official languages is not necessary but considered asset
