Position Description:

CGI is seeking current students interested in full-time, 10-week, paid summer internship opportunities in the cyber security field. Our Cyber Security Analysts typically have a demonstrated interest in security and information technology, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent interpersonal skills. CGI offers positions in Manassas, VA; and Tempe, AZ. Participation includes potential for a full-time employment offer!

What you’ll need:
•Working towards a Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year institution
•Academic background in information security/risk analysis, incident response, computer science, computer engineering or a similar major with extensive computer-based or technical content
•Ability to work in the U.S. for an indefinite period of time
•A great attitude and hunger for learning
•Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills
•Ability to work within a team environment
•3.0 GPA (strongly preferred)
•Security+ and CEH certifications (strongly preferred)
•Knowledge and understanding of common information/cyber security technologies (e.g. Firewalls, NIDS/HIDS, Web Proxies, Vulnerability Scanners)
•Understanding of common ports and protocols
•Familiarity with network packet capture solutions

What you’ll do (assignments may include responsibilities in one or more of the following areas):
•Information Assurance – Certification & Accreditation, Policy implementation, and Compliance
•Network Security – penetration-testing, vulnerability assessments, and computer forensics
•Malware Analysis – disassemble and debug malicious software, dynamic analysis via virtual machine technology, programming with C/C++/Java/IA32Asm/C#/PERL/Python
