Position Description:

This is an Expression of Interest rather than a recruitment campaign for a single project or vacancy.

CGI is continuing to invest in the growth of our Space, Defence & Intelligence business across Australia.

As part of that growth, we're expanding our permanent Project, Program & PMO capability to support a strong pipeline of secured programs, current opportunities and future pursuits across Defence, National Security and Federal Government.

We're looking to connect with experienced project delivery professionals who are interested in joining CGI over the coming months. Some candidates may align with immediate opportunities, while others may be considered as new projects commence. We'll be transparent about where you fit, what opportunities are available and the expected timeframes.

Whether your expertise is leading major programs, managing project controls or supporting delivery through PMO and governance, we'd like to hear from you.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

As part of CGI's Project, Program & PMO practice, you'll work alongside government and industry to deliver complex Defence and National Security programs from planning through to capability delivery.

Depending on your background and the project you join, you may be involved in:

• Project and Program Management.
• PMO establishment and delivery support.
• Project governance and reporting.
• Project scheduling and planning.
• Project controls, cost and performance management.
• Risk, issue and dependency management.
• Business analysis and requirements management.
• Organisational change management.
• Stakeholder engagement across government, industry and delivery partners.
• Supporting Defence capability acquisition, sustainment and digital transformation programs.

We're interested in hearing from professionals with experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Project Management
• Program Management

• Project Controls
• Project Planning & Scheduling
• Governance & Assurance
• Risk Management

• Business Analysis
• Portfolio Management
• Delivery Management

We're open to candidates at a range of experience levels, from developing engineers through to senior technical leaders. The following would also be highly regarded:
• Experience delivering projects within Defence, Defence Industry or National Security environments.
• Familiarity with Defence project governance, capability lifecycle or acquisition frameworks.
• Experience using tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Jira, Confluence or similar project management platforms.
• Professional certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, Agile or similar.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and leadership skills.

At CGI, you'll join one of the world's largest independent IT and business consulting firms while working as part of a growing Australian Defence & National Security business.

Our teams work alongside government and industry to solve complex problems across engineering, digital, cyber and program delivery. We combine global capability with local decision-making, giving our members the opportunity to build long-term careers while contributing to projects that make a genuine impact.

As CGI continues to invest in Australia, you'll have opportunities to work across a diverse range of programs, develop new technical capabilities and collaborate with experienced professionals across multiple disciplines.

We believe experienced professionals value transparency.

Rather than advertising individual vacancies as they arise, we're proactively building our permanent capability to support a strong pipeline of current and upcoming work.
This isn't about collecting CVs for the sake of it. It's about identifying talented people who are interested in joining CGI as our business continues to grow.

If your experience aligns with an immediate opportunity, we'll discuss that with you. If we believe you're a strong fit for upcoming work, we'll keep in contact and be open about expected timing.

What happens next?

Every application is reviewed by our internal recruitment team.
If your background aligns with our current or upcoming opportunities, we'll arrange a conversation to learn more about your experience, career aspirations and the type of work you're looking for.

If the timing isn't quite right, we'll let you know and keep your details on hand for future opportunities within our specialised practices.

If you're looking to build your career while contributing to Australia's Defence and National Security capability, we'd welcome your Expression of Interest.
