Your future duties and responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Cost Modeller to support upcoming Satcom programmes and other key initiatives. In this role, you will undertake both qualitative and quantitative analysis, develop and maintain cost models, and play a key part in governance and reporting to support high-level decision-making.

This position is based in Canberra, ACT and requires experience working in Defence or Space sector environments.

Your Responsibilities will include:

> Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of project and capability data

> Develop and maintain cost models to support decision-making and programme planning

> Extract strategic-level insights to support executive briefings

> Engage with stakeholders to adjust models in response to programme evolution

> Contribute to monthly governance, assurance, and reporting activities

> Identify risks, issues, and opportunities, and support mitigation strategies aligned with project objectives

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

> Proven experience as a Cost Modeller, or in a closely related role

> Background working in Defence or Space sector programmes

>Familiarity with Defence financial systems, budgeting processes, and capability delivery frameworks

> Experience with Defence/Space-specific cost modelling tools

> Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights

> Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
