CGI is expanding our Space, Defence & Intelligence unit in Canberra and we’re seeking experienced, NV2 Cleared Satcom Project Managers to lead complex satellite communication initiatives at the forefront of national and international space capability.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

As a Satcom Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of satellite communication projects from concept through to implementation, ensuring performance, quality, and security standards are met.

You will:

> Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Satcom projects across Defence and Space sectors
> Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to achieve project milestones
> Manage budgets, schedules, risks, and stakeholder expectations
> Ensure compliance with Defence, security, and quality standards
> Serve as the key point of contact between clients, partners, and technical teams
> Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement

Contribute to strategic planning, proposals, and technical roadmaps for Satcom capability growth

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Proven experience managing satellite communication or Defence technology projects

Strong understanding of RF systems, satellite networks, and link budgets

Experience with Defence environments, governance, and secure project delivery

Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills

Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical delivery within schedule and budget

Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) preferred

Active NV2 Security Clearance (or eligibility to obtain one)
