Application Support Analyst (Junior)

Position Description:

This is a central and dynamic position where you will provide technical and functional support for applications used by trading and risk analysis teams based in New York.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as solid knowledge of ITIL best practices, are essential since you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining critical applications.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

What will be your day-to-day?
- You will be part of an IT feature team (Development and Support) working closely with a trading desk.
- You will collaborate with the development team to deliver the best possible service to traders and help prevent or resolve major production incidents.
- Each morning, you will perform system health checks to ensure that production is stable before the financial markets open.
- During the day, you will manage the user ticket backlog using Unity. You may also be contacted directly by users in the event of live production incidents, where you'll need to apply your problem-solving skills to diagnose and troubleshoot application issues.
- You'll learn key production support practices and gain financial industry expertise from experienced professionals.
- At the end of the day, you'll conduct evening checks to ensure production stability before the Asian markets open.
- In addition to your daily responsibilities, you'll have the opportunity to enhance your technical expertise by dedicating time to automation projects, using tools such as Elasticsearch, Kibana, scripting, bots, Autosys, and more.

What does it take to get the job?
We believe that when our support teams understand the technologies behind our products, they deliver better service.
That's why we ask all team members to demonstrate a basic level of coding ability.
To qualify for this position, you must be able to write an SQL query and complete a basic coding test in the programming language you're most familiar with.
 
It's a plus if you have:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Application Support Analyst
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- A proven track record in continuous improvement and automation initiatives
 
Languages
English and French
Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required, as this position involves regular collaboration with colleagues and partners based in the United States.
 
Additional Information
In compliance with U.S. Federal Securities law applicable to this position, candidates will be required to undergo enhanced background screening, including the collection of fingerprints by a third-party vendor designated by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role requiring interaction with national and global clients.
