Job description
Context:
The mission of the Business Division (BD), Technology and Technical Support (T&TS), is to provide sustainable and efficient technology/process solutions, catalysts/adsorbents, and services to clients in various fields where Axens is involved.
This includes oil and biomass hydroprocessing and conversion, petrochemical production and purification, gas and water treatment, and CO2 capture.
The T&TS division is responsible for ensuring the performance of Axens' customer units and maintaining competitiveness in a highly competitive market during the energy transition period.
The technologist position combines technical support for sales, partnership for client performance, and R&D management to ensure long-term competitiveness.
We are currently,looking for a Renewables Technology Engineer.
Main Missions
As a member of the Renewables Product Line Technology team, reporting directly to the Renewables to Liquids Product Line Manager, your area of responsibility will include, but not be limited to, BioTfueL, Gasel, eFuel technologies.
Your main tasks will be to :
Prepare technical proposals in response to calls for tender, for new or revamped units and for certain catalyst replacement technologies. In this capacity, he/she determines the performance, quantity of catalysts/biocatalysts, operating conditions and cycle time of our products or units. It can carry out preliminary equipment sizing and calculate investment and operating costs.
· Provide technical support to Regional Sales Managers in defending offers to customers.
· Participate in the collection, synthesis and exploitation of knowledge relating to these processes and catalysts/biocatalysts, including feedback from operating units, in cooperation with the relevant Technical Assistance staff.
· Participate in updating or developing the marketing messages associated with the Business Group's technologies.
· Contribute to the development of the Business Group's offering by proposing improvements.
· Promote the Bio Axens offer at public events, such as conferences and seminars.
Availability for short-term travel is required.
Desired profile
Knowledge and Level Required:
With an engineering background in chemical engineering, you have a minimum of 10 years' experience in the energy sector within engineering departments, in technical bid management, process studies or operations.
In addition, you have a strong appetite for project development phases and interaction with R&D departments.
Solid experience in drafting bids or technical-economic studies is a plus.
Fluent in English. A good level of French appreciated.
