Your role as a Structurer will report to the Head of Structuring Secured Finance, Loans & Private Debt and you will be part of the AXA IM Alts department.
AXA IM ALTS is a European leader in alternative asset management with nearly 20 years of experience and over €186 billion in assets under management. With teams based in 17 offices worldwide, alternative asset management is a strategic priority for AXA IM, experiencing significant growth in recent years.
The Alternative Credit and Private Equity teams at AXA IM ALTS invest across a broad range of strategies: Private Debt, Private Equity, CLO, ABS, Private Financing, Insurance-Linked Securities, Leveraged Loans, etc.
In this context, the structurer role in Front Office is central. They are responsible for initiating, structuring, and launching new transactions or products, such as open and closed-end funds, as well as dedicated mandates. This involves in-depth risk analysis, negotiation of financial and legal terms, and coordination of the launch with both internal and external parties.
The structurer is also involved in structuring transactions for the Secured Finance team on behalf of its clients. They work closely with the management, investment teams, sales, and support functions, with direct interaction both internally and externally.
The Structuring team is composed of 6 structurers, with a particular focus on Private Debt and Private Equity funds.

Key Responsibilities
- Suggest the best investment vehicle based on the client’s specific needs, considering regulatory, legal, accounting, and tax constraints.
- Create cash flow models for new transactions, assess risks, and align the structure with the client’s risk-return strategy.
- Set portfolio investment rules that serve the client’s best interests while respecting manager constraints.
- Choose the best partners (banks, custodians, service providers, etc.).Negotiate legal documents such as engagement letters, prospectuses, management mandates, and distribution contracts.
- Manage and coordinate projects with various stakeholders: clients, external counterparts (banks, legal/tax advisors, rating agencies, custodians), and internal counterparts (legal, compliance, risk, operations).
- Present transactions for internal committee approvals.
- Assist with marketing by contributing to pitch books and roadshows, focusing on structuring aspects.
- Support the quantitative aspects of structuring, including cash flow models, portfolio optimization, and management indicators.
- Assist in structuring transactions, including modeling, reviewing legal documents, negotiating with counterparts, and conducting due diligence.
- Oversee post-closing structures such as distribution, restructuring, and liquidation.Analyze market trends, competition, regulatory changes, and rating methodology.

Education and Experience
· Master's degree from a business school, engineering school, or university
· Minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
· Strong knowledge of financial markets
