Using Nectar, the UK's most comprehensive customer database, their teams conduct advanced analysis to uncover new insights about shopper interactions and brands.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Insight Manager to join the Nectar360 Data & Insight team, focused on the account management of our SIP (Sainsburys Insight Platform) clients sitting within the New Business division as well as future data commercialisation activities.

We are looking for an ambitious Client Insight Manager with excellent communication and organisational experience to work with our suppliers, stakeholders, the Nectar360 Client Service team, and the Nectar360 Data & Insights team to drive the uptake of SIP as well as manage the contract renewals for those clients already subscribing to the platform.

The use of SIP enables our business and suppliers to make more data led business decisions at great pace by unlocking the full potential of the platform. You’ll act as an ambassador for Sainsbury’s Insight Platform, running review sessions and demonstrations to both existing and prospective suppliers with an annual commercial goal to develop proposals, convert pipeline opportunities and secure contract renewals of our market leading insight platform delivering against a personal annual target of £4m of margin contribution and playing a key role in our annual revenue Data & Insight target of £33m.

What you need to do

  • Your role will cover all commercial and client service requirements for FMCG suppliers that subscribe to SIP Sainsbury’s from managing and negotiating the SIP annual renewals, directing and converting pipeline opportunities to delivering review sessions for our existing SIP suppliers.
  • You will work collaboratively with the N360 Client Service team including Client Directors, Senior Client Managers, Client Managers and Exec levels. You will ensure the Client Service team are regularly updated with the status of their client’s SIP contracts, SIP usage and engagement, and you will follow up on all New Business leads / Data & Insight opportunities generated.
  • You will confidently manage client relationships and develop a deep knowledge of your client’s business, working collaboratively with N360 Client Services, to help and identify how SIP will improve their business decisions/opportunities with Sainsbury’s and how they can maximise their SIP access throughout the course of their contract.
  • You need astute relationship management, including excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills required both across the breadth of the Sainsbury’s business including: Client Services, Planning, Analytics and Data & Insight teams as well as external suppliers.
  • You should be naturally curious on industry trends and competitive threats, seeking out and demonstrating creative thinking in leveraging new opportunities to drive growth/relationship.
  • You will create, develop, improve and maintain Nectar360 external SIP comms e.g. email templates, creds deck to drive awareness and a pipeline of insight prospects from our FMCG client base.
  • You will calculate the fees for Sainsbury’s Insight Platform (SIP) and EPOS contract renewals as well as new business proposals, ensuring the correct information is captured in a timely manner and aligning with the Nectar360 Data & Insight strategy.
  • Be responsible for the financial admin associated with the 80 SIP client contracts within your portfolio by ensuring new clients and respective contracts are set-up on internal systems.
  • Facilitate and manage reviews sessions with all New Business clients subscribing to the platform to review current / renewal agreement and company usage.
  • Work with the N360 Client Service and N360 Finance teams to help bring-in aged debt from relevant clients.
  • Regularly review SIP usage amongst clients and proactively reach out to clients where usage is low and renewal may be at risk.
  • Support the wider Data & Insight team in ensuring all SIP opportunities are updated in our financial systems.
  • Collate relevant market, industry and client information to communicate to the wider team.
  • Carry out store visits to keep abreast of activity within Sainsbury’s and competitors.
