Project Manager to the Director of Programmes

  • London, UK
  • Marketing

Job description

Are you a dynamic and organised individual with a passion for project management? Sainsbury’s, in partnership with SAP, Accenture, and AWS, is embarking on a large-scale programme to revolutionise our core Trading systems and ways of working. This is the largest technology programme across our business, and we need a talented Project Manager to join our team and support the Director of Core Commercial Transformation.

As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in providing professional, proactive, and comprehensive administrative support to the Director. Your responsibilities will include establishing project plans, managing risks, and identifying issues in collaboration with programme teams. You will coordinate and engage with cross-functional teams, both internally and externally, to facilitate communication and ensure project alignment and progress.

In this role, you will track project milestones and deliverables, preparing status reports and presentations for key stakeholders. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and external third parties will be crucial to ensuring effective collaboration and successful outcomes. You will also explore and identify best-in-class practices, tools, and strategies to aid the Director's decision-making and strategic thinking.

Your organisational skills will be put to the test as you manage the Director's calendar, scheduling appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements to ensure effective use of time. You will handle high-level correspondence, screening emails and calls, and drafting responses on behalf of the Director to ensure timely and accurate communication with stakeholders at all levels. Additionally, you will organise and coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, compile meeting materials, and record minutes.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of interacting with stakeholders at all levels. Discretion and trustworthiness are essential, as you will manage confidential information with integrity. Strong organisational and planning skills, along with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities, are a must.

Experience in project management and administration support is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Word, OneNote, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint. Knowledge of Sainsbury’s Food Commercial systems and processes would be an advantage.

If you are detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently, we want to hear from you. Join us in this exciting role and be part of a transformative journey at Sainsbury’s.
