The Technical Specialist (Work Capacity) is a collaborative role which focuses on development, enhancement and delivering strategic work capacity initiatives across both Nominal Insurer and Treasury Managed Fund business units. This role provides a unique opportunity to elevate your leadership skills while thriving in a dynamic and supportive environment.

 

About the role

·  Work across two businesses, develop work capacity initiatives with a key focus on customer value proposition, technical excellence, and operating models.
·  Oversee, update, and create policy, procedure, and process documents to improve work capacity practices.
·  Develop and implement changes for improvement following audits and compliance actions
·  Facilitate projects and initiatives to support achieving sustainable work capacity outcomes.
·  Coach and develop Technical Specialists and Case Manager in work capacity practices to enable capability uplift and successful claim outcomes.

 

About you

·  Extensive Workers Compensation experience and knowledge of relevant legislation.
·  Previous experience supporting a claims team in a specialised role, such as Technical Specialist, RTW Specialist, or Injury Management Specialist, is highly desirable.
·  Strong understanding of work capacity requirements, with a motivation to be creative and trial new initiatives.
·  Effective planning, prioritizing, and organizing skills.
·  In depth understanding of strategy development and an ability to partner with different business units to influence outcomes.
·  Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyse complex information and data.
