The role

Allianz are seeking a Strategic Mental Health Specialist – Personal Injury, based in either our Sydney or Perth office. The primary purpose of this hybrid role is to lead the national approach to psychological injury and claims management within the Underwritten Workers Compensation Business.

 

The role will advance business capability, optimise claims interventions, and drive strategic initiatives as we strive for best practice in psychological injury management. The role will also help create and support mentally healthy work environments for our people and customers.

You'll be responsible for

  • Supporting the development- and leading the delivery of strategies and initiatives for mental wellbeing and psychological injury management.
  • Providing strategic advice and support on primary and secondary psychological claims, as well as claims with a mental health overlay
  • Providing specialised psychological treatment advice and be a treater liaison.
  • Developing and delivering mental health training and resources to our teams to support capability uplift.
  • Supporting teams to identify and manage confronting situations and high-risk customers.
  • Providing training to our customers to promote psychologically healthy workplaces, reduce psychosocial risk, and prevent psychological injuries.

 

About you 

  • You have a degree in Allied Health, preferably in a mental health field.
  • You have experience in injury management relating to occupational rehabilitation, claims management, and/or return to work.
  • You demonstrate ability to lead, coach and empower people to develop individual and team potential.
  • You have the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with diverse team members.
  • You demonstrate enthusiasm and ability to optimise business value to customers by delivering high quality services and positive customer experiences to sustain and enhance the customer base.
  • A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
