We are looking for a Senior Strategy and Financial Analyst (m/f/d), based in London or Munich.

As a Senior Strategy and Financial Analyst in the CEO Strategy Office, you'll join our small, dynamic team supporting key company strategies and projects alongside leadership. You'll evaluate investment opportunities, build financial models, analyze performance metrics, and drive strategic initiatives across departments. 

 

The Impact You Will Have 

Reporting to the Head of the CEO Office of Allianz Commercial, you will influence company strategy through financial analysis and critical insights that inform executive decisions. Your evaluations of investments and growth opportunities will help shape our future direction. By facilitating key governance processes and collaborating across departments, you'll drive meaningful change while developing deep expertise in the commercial insurance landscape and broader financial markets. 

 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include: 

  • Strategy Support: Synthesize complex information to identify key challenges and solutions, conduct market intelligence analysis, contribute to annual Strategic Dialogue preparations, and manage CEO presentations for corporate reporting and events. 

  • Financial Analysis: Develop business cases through financial modeling, draft executive-level financial briefings, and analyze complex data to identify KPIs that drive strategic decision-making. 

  • Project Management: Support high-impact initiatives for Allianz Commercial, track project outcomes, analyze impacts, and drive implementation in collaboration with stakeholders. 

  • Problem Solving: Structure ambiguous problems, diagnose core issues, and identify innovative, practical solutions that align with business objectives. 

  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders across departments to advance strategic priorities and initiatives. 

  • Executive Communication: Present findings and project updates to senior leadership in a clear, structured manner that facilitates informed decision-making. 

 

What You’ll Bring to the Role 

  • Insurance Industry Knowledge: Professional experience in P&C insurance with understanding of insurance financial statements, key performance indicators, and business drivers. 

  • Financial Modeling Excellence: Strong Microsoft Excel skills for building complex financial models, scenario analyses, and business cases. 

  • Strategic Analysis: Ability to analyze complex data, evaluate cost-benefit scenarios, and translate findings into actionable business insights. 

  • Presentation Expertise: Strong PowerPoint skills to convey messages effectively to senior stakeholders and leadership teams. 

  • Stakeholder Management: Experience communicating results to various stakeholders, including senior management, with clarity and impact. 

  • Navigation of Complexity: Ability to proactively make sense of complex issues and respond effectively to ambiguous situations in global matrix environments.  

  • You should be able to integrate AI-driven insights into your work to optimize outcomes and support broader organizational goals. 

  • Financial/accountancy qualification i.e. CMA/CFA ie qualified accountant.
