The primary purpose of this position is to partner with our Commercial division to provide strategic financial advice and support so they can achieve core business objectives. The focus of the Commercial division is to ensure Allianz is recognised as a significant strategic partner to the broker market, providing consistent, quality solutions to the various segments of their customer’s portfolios. The Commercial division forms part of the Global Commercial strategic pillar delivering the full value of Allianz’s scale and full set of capabilities for the benefit of our customers, brokers and shareholders. Locally we are dedicated to servicing the specific needs of small to medium enterprises as well as corporate and specialty clients, the Commercial division works alongside our One Allianz partners to provide risk consulting and underwriting expertise to our brokers and their customers.

 

About the role
•    As finance representative, collaborate closely with the divisional management team and proactively provide coaching, strategic guidance, and operational support on critical finance issues to the business.
•    Lead and Drive Allianz Group interactions across key steering committees providing a truly unique opportunity to grow and develop
•    Own the end-to-end divisional finance topics, translating financial implications for Senior Management.
•    Strategic input and ownership of productivity workstreams, you will be a key catalyst and thought leader to sourcing and executing on the programs of work
•    Lead the Divisional delivery for forecasting and planning processes to ensure requirements are accounted for and provided to the Finance Planning and Reporting Teams and Senior Management.
•    Partner with and leverage resources from the various finance squads in an agile manner to implement solutions that meet business needs.
•    Provide expert Finance advice relating to the delivery and execution of the financial performance of the division.
•    Lead and coach team members to build high performing, collaborative and engaged teams.
 

About you
•    Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/ or industry accreditations.
•    Sales &Distribution/Underwriting Business Partnering along with understanding of broker market is expected and will be highly advantageous.
•    Comprehensive understanding of organisational financial frameworks and experience in financial management processes, resources, and systems, providing advice to improve financial performance and achieve strategic objectives.
•    Ability to interpret and analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights and evaluate options for decision making.
•    Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders to establish strong professional relationships and influence outcomes.
•    Exceptional communication skills and ability to deliver storylines to senior management.
•    Highly developed consulting and influencing skills, demonstrating the ability to co-create strategy and valuable analytical solutions with key business stakeholders.
