PRICING ACTUARY HEALTH

Job description

JOB PURPOSE/ROLE

The candidate will be required to provide support to the Health Products Development and Sales Support Team for Pricing and Technical Analysis of the Health Division, covering Medical Reimbursement, Permanent Disability and Daily Allowance spectrum of Personal and Commercial (Small Commercial, Mid-Large Corporate). The candidate will be involved in development or review of the tariffs for all Health products and subsequent technical analysis.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Develop independently technical analyses in alignment with Group Best Practices and Policies, following the whole tariff process:
·  Data preparation
·  Overall Rate Requirement analysis
·  Technical analysis with advanced statistical techniques for risk and behavioral models
·  What-if analysis to evaluate the impact of different tariffs on portfolio performance
·  Definition of technical requirement for IT implementation regarding tariff and database structure
·  Assess on a regular basis the quality and correctness of the models and analyses
·  Develop KPI's and reports/dashboards based on portfolio and claims analysis
·  Participate in working groups for the definition of the concept of New Products
·  Interface with other corporate functions on business or regulatory issues

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

·  Master’s degree in actuarial science or equivalent field
·  Experience (e.g. 3 years) in Insurance Company/Consultancy Firms with focus on Pricing
·  Good knowledge of the Tower Watson Suite (Emblem, Radar) and SAS
·  Good knowledge of Python and/or R
·  Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
·  Ability to work independently as well as engage and interact with different stakeholders
·  Be proactive in constantly improving tools and approaches to be market leading
·  Seek to continually improve knowledge regarding business and technical issues and actively propose ideas to management
·  Fluent Italian and English (written and spoken)
