Job role
The Reporting & Power BI Dashboard Specialist is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing reports and dashboards using Power BI and other reporting tools. This role ensures data accuracy, supports decision-making processes, and enhances data visualization across the organization.
What you will do
1. Data Collection and Processing:
· Gather, clean, and integrate data from multiple sources (ERP, CRM, SQL databases, Excel files, APIs).
· Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting solutions.
· Implement automated data extraction and transformation (ETL) processes.
2. Power BI Report & Dashboard Development:
· Design and develop interactive reports and dashboards tailored to business needs.
· Optimize report performance through efficient data modeling and DAX calculations.
· Maintain and update existing reports to align with evolving business requirements.
3. Data Analysis & Interpretation:
· Identify trends, patterns, and insights to support strategic decision-making.
· Generate custom reports based on business user requirements.
· Collaborate with teams to improve the structure and relevance of reports.
4. Data Security & Access Control:
· Define and implement security policies for report access in Power BI.
· Ensure compliance with GDPR and internal IT security policies.
· Manage user permissions and authentication for reporting tools.
5. Automation of Reporting Processes:
· Develop automated workflows for data updates and report distribution.
· Utilize Power Automate or other tools to streamline reporting operations.
· Reduce manual tasks by implementing automated data refresh mechanisms.
6. User Support & Training:
· Provide technical support for users accessing reports and dashboards.
· Conduct training sessions on Power BI usage and data interpretation.
· Develop documentation and user guides for self-service reporting.
7. Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
· Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices.
· Propose and implement enhancements to reporting processes and tools.
· Participate in meetings to assess and refine reporting needs.
What you bring
· Minimum Experience:
· 3+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting.
· Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
· Experience working with SQL databases and writing complex queries.
· Knowledge of ERP, CRM, and enterprise data integration.
· Familiarity with Power Automate or similar automation tools.
