About the role
· Provide quotations for new business, renewals, and endorsements in alignment with the Underwriting Strategy, considering customer needs and circumstances.
· Complete workflows for new business, renewals, and endorsements to deliver high-quality products and services.
· Manage relationships across a designated portfolio, underwriting commercial insurances within delegated authority limits.
· Maximize account retention, review renewal business in coordination with internal stakeholders, and proactively address customer needs with tailored solutions.
· Stay informed on market trends, ensure adherence to guidelines, and maintain profitability while managing risks and achieving contract certainty targets.
About you
· Experience in operational, commercial underwriting within a complex, matrixed general insurance environment.
· Strong planning, prioritization, and task management skills to handle competing resources and demands.
· Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
· High attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to identify inconsistencies in information.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to coach, influence, and support team development.
