Role Overview:
As a Junior Credit Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the most effective credit limit service for our clients. Your responsibilities will include making informed credit limit decisions, maintaining quick turnaround times, and communicating effectively with customers. You will be instrumental in attracting new clients through the quality of your service and underwriting decisions, while also building trust-based relationships with them, to enhance customer portfolio profitability.

 

What you do:
•    Decide on credit limit requests by using available information and own market knowledge, while adhering to response time guidelines.
•    Continuously monitor risk exposure, trade sector evolution, and action plans to ensure informed decision-making.
•    Own a dedicated customer portfolio, providing proactive service and steering it according to policyholder classification.
•    Regularly meet with customers and brokers, organize telephone conferences, and contribute to commercial activities.
•    Steer customers' loss ratio and implement actions to ensure or restore portfolio profitability.
•    Participate in projects and initiatives.

 

What you bring:
•    Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
•    Maximum of 3 years of experience in the banking/financial services sector, with at least 1 year in Trade Credit Insurance (TCI) and/or Credit Insurance being advantageous.
•    Fluency in English (C2) is essential.
•    Knowledge of dedicated business industries is a plus.
•    Strong business and financial analysis skills.
•    Demonstrated commercial awareness.
•    Excellent relationship management skills with both internal and external customers.
•    AI related skills, e.g., ChatGPT
