Job description



We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to support our team in maintaining and enhancing Spring Boot applications hosted in the AWS Cloud. You will work on the OMS Resource Database (OMSR), a key application in the Output Management domain, which manages resources for document creation (e.g., document templates, text modules, and graphics) and provides secure web services for distribution. The team operates in an agile setup and is distributed across locations in Budapest and Munich.

 

What you do:

• Maintain and enhance the OMSR application, ensuring high availability and performance in the AWS Cloud.

• Manage and optimize the underlying PostgreSQL database for efficiency and scalability.

• Design, implement, and secure web services for accessing and distributing resources.

• Support the seamless transfer of resources to a LuW DB2 database.

• Utilize Jenkins and Maven for continuous integration and deployment workflows.

• Manage containerized deployments using Kubernetes.

• Monitor application performance and ensure reliability using tools like Grafana and Dynatrace.

• Collaborate closely with the agile team to plan updates, implement new features, and address challenges.

• Document all web services and APIs comprehensively using Swagger.

 

What you need:

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Extensive experience in Java development with a strong focus on Spring Boot.

• Solid understanding and experience with PostgreSQL and JPA.

• Proficiency in tools like Jenkins, Maven, GitHub, and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with AWS services, particularly RDS and general cloud infrastructure management.

• Hands-on experience with monitoring and performance tools such as Grafana and Dynatrace.

• Skilled in secure web service development and documentation using Swagger.

• Experience with development environments such as Eclipse or IntelliJ IDEA.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
