JOB PURPOSE/ROLE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively contribute to the AGCS Innovation Strategy
Scan and Scout for external opportunities
Look at trends and help to translate their impact to our Clients and to AGCS
Be the “tech advocate” for new technologies
Work together with Product Owners from the business and support them to shape, scope and prepare to pitch their ideas to the committee
Run the Proof of Concept (PoCs) as a “Proxy” Product Owner, guiding and coaching the product owner from the development of the idea until the execution of the Proof of Concept. You act as coach, facilitator and roadblock remover for them
Drive PoCs using the Innovation methodologies (e.g. Lean start-up, Design Thinking, etc..)
Support AGCS in change management and drive change management activities via show & tell of Innovation activities
Support administrative tasks required for running the PoCs.
Prepare and conduct targeted ideation workshops with the business in order to shape ideas to be pitched
Prioritize ideas together with top management (e.g. Head of Global Innovation, local top management) and actively support to develop/maintain the global innovation portfolio
Actively foster and expand innovations network across the Allianz Group and outside
KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

You have at three to five years of experience in creating business opportunities from new ideas, either from working
o within a R&D or innovation department, or
o within a start-up company or innovation lab.
You have been successfully leading project teams for at least five years
You have knowledge on Business Models and Value proposition design
You have already gained basic experience in Design Thinking, Human Centered Design or Lean Startup and you also understand how (and why) design innovation influences strategic revenue growth.
Ideally, you already taken new propositions to market and have gained experience in scaling the business
Experience with “service design” is an advantage
You have an external Innovation-related network
You have strong leadership skills with the ability to persuade and motivate others to act, without direct authority.
You have strong communication skills as moderator, facilitator, coach and advisor. You have the ability to advise, instruct, direct, and guide as a coach to help someone manage an innovation project.
You are fluent in written and spoken English. Additional language is a benefit
You like to take the initiative and have strong communication skills.
You are dynamic, committed and enjoy working independently on fast-changing innovation initiatives.
You have a strong “make it happen” mentality and is very hands on.
You are an excellent team player with an integrative personality.

We are looking for a motivated team member who is able to think outside the box, has a passion for innovation-related topics and would enjoying to support the set-up of this new department.
