What you do:
Financial Analysis and Support:
- Provide financial analysis and reporting support for products, investments, and transactions under guidance from senior team members
- Assist in monitoring financial and accounting trends impacting the life insurance and annuity industry
- Support team and departmental initiatives while building analytical and business acumen
- Participate in the annual financial planning and forecasting process
- Assist with preparation and analysis of IFRS and Statutory financial reports
- Help prepare materials and summaries related to financial results for management review
Technical Research and Interpretation:
- Develop a foundational understanding of investment, accounting, and actuarial concepts relevant to the business
- Support routine governance processes and information requests from Allianz Life stakeholders and parent company Allianz SE
- Collect and analyze market, industry, and competitor data to support business insights
- Assist with market research and industry analysis aligned with company strategies
- Communicate financial information clearly through written materials and presentations
- Learn key financial drivers, policyholder liabilities, and asset portfolio structures
- Utilize available tools, including artificial intelligence resources (e.g., generative AI), to support analysis and reporting tasks
Project Support and Collaboration:
- Support special projects and ad-hoc analyses led by senior team members
- Coordinate meeting materials, documentation, and follow-ups as appropriate
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and meet deliverable timelines
- Contribute to continuous improvement of team processes, templates, and documentation
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 2+ years of relevant financial, accounting, or analytical experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to work collaboratively while also managing assigned tasks independently
- Demonstrated interest in financial reporting and analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future. This includes holders of H-1B, H4, L-1, L-2, TN, OPT, CPT, and other nonimmigrant visas.
Base Salary Range $58,000-86,000
Actual base salary may vary based upon factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity of peers, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual incentive program.
