The Impact You Will Have
The Finance Operations Specialist is responsible for handling customer service inquiries by taking both inbound customer calls and inbound email and either resolving the inquiry or transferring to the appropriate party to resolve. Also responsible for set up of accounts for Brokers, Direct Bill Clients, Coinsurers and Reinsurers and assert themselves as an strong resource for internal and external clients in all required LOB’s.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
Have deep understanding of all required LOB’s and provide support for internal and external clients
Be proactive in organizing and helping with individual and team projects
Build relationships with Operations and Underwriting departments to assist the team in having internal booking issues resolved. Set meetings or calls as needed to resolve these issues as needed
Initiating legal letters for accounts referred to Late Stage collections, work with third party collections agencies, law firms, and other external customers as needed in order to resolve open receivables and late stage balances
Ownership of accounts in assigned queue – understanding of collection status and aging
Set the market standard of excellence in all touch points with both internal and external customers
What You’ll Bring to the Role
3-5 years experience in Billing and Collections, Insurance Operations or Accounts Receivables
Experience in Insurance preferred
Experience in dealing with Outside Collection Agencies, including law firms
Computer literacy required; Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
High School Diploma
Associate degree in Business, Accounting or Finance preferred
Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making is preferred
The annualized base pay range for this role is $57200 - $86476. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
