Role Overview:

The Digital Travel Manager will oversee the strategic global rollout and project management of the digital travel and expense platform for business travel bookings and expense reimbursement. This includes ERP system integration, implementation processes, operational management, and development of future trends. The role also encompasses supplier management and the monitoring of Service Level Agreements. Additionally, the Digital Travel Manager will also be responsible for travel data analytics topic involving various data sources (e.g. travel agency data, online booking tool data, etc.) for internal reporting within the team and for reporting provided to stakeholders for their decision-making process and mitigating any identified risks. 

 

What you do:

·  Implementation of SaaS solution under consideration of Allianz IT infrastructures and required interfaces  
·  Coordinate the alignment among various suppliers engaged in the projects and manage project requests, taking into account resource availability.
·  Creation of business case in alignment with all involved project parties and different suppliers. Monitoring of the cost during the project. 
·  Standardization and harmonization of processes to reduce costs and to make use of competitive advantages for Allianz group in the area of travel- approvals, booking, on-trip services, payment, reimbursement for mobile-, online-, and offline processes.  
·  Management of global networks with contact persons and stakeholders for travel services in Allianz entities (Allianz entities, Allianz group functions) 
·  Performance Monitoring: Regularly assessing supplier performance against agreed-upon metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure they meet expectations. 
·  Cost Management: Analysing and managing costs associated with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and cost-effectiveness. Take care on incoming invoices and cross charging to internal costumer by end of the year.
·  Innovation and Collaboration: Encouraging suppliers to contribute to innovation and collaborate on new product development or process improvements.
·  Training and guidance for reporting tool usage: Providing guidance to stakeholders on how to use the reporting tool and how to understand the data
·  Provision of reports to stakeholders: Creation of reporting templates which can be used by stakeholders within the tool and also ad-hoc report creation upon the request of stakeholders and from the team
·  Reporting tool management/Enhancement: Regularly checking for data quality and flagging any identified issue to the providers to resolve the issue and escalation whenever needed and seeking for enhancement possibilities and raising them to the providers for improved reporting capabilities and user-friendliness
·  Reporting required for internal needs relevant for cost management/risk management: Overseeing creation and monitoring of reports required for internal uses e.g. cost overview, revenue overview, comparison of different data sources, incl. alignment with controlling team for continuous monitoring to ensure correct charging to internal customers

 

What you bring:

·  Higher education degree in a technical or business field or comparable discipline.
·  Experience in Project management for SaaS solution implementations, coordinating supplier alignment, and handling project requests with resource consideration. Capability to create and monitor business cases.
·  Familiarity with ERP system integration and understanding of IT infrastructures and required interfaces.
·  Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire project teams and working groups, driving strategic initiatives and fostering collaboration across diverse stakeholders to achieve project goals and optimize travel and expense processes.
·  Knowledge and experience in business travel industry standards, best-practices, functionalities, workflows in GDS systems, digital online booking tool systems (preferable Amadeus Cytric) as well as in operations of corporate travel agencies 
·  Analytical and problem-solving skills and affinity & strong willingness for understanding data and working with numbers
·  Genuine interest and affinity for Information Technology (IT) and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI),
·  Effective communication skills with suppliers and customers, both written and verbal.
