Job description
As a Compliance Specialist, you’ll play a key role in supporting local business objectives while helping implement compliance and data privacy programs across the organization. You’ll coordinate activities within the business unit and contribute to global initiatives, working closely with the North America Chief Compliance & Data Privacy Officer and local leadership. What you will do
Corporate Compliance & Data Privacy Management
- Manage compliance and privacy group mailboxes, ensuring timely responses
- Oversee the Economic Sanctions program and review potential screening matches
- Monitor and manage privacy incidents, escalating as needed
- Handle Data Subject Rights requests in line with regulatory timelines
Quality Assurance
- Support global compliance QA efforts, including risk analysis and control development
- Assist in remediating compliance findings effectively and on time
Policies, Standards & Subject Matter Expertise
- Promote a strong compliance culture across the business
- Maintain and support implementation of compliance policies, standards, and training
- Act as a subject matter expert for local compliance procedures and controls
- Contribute to the development of group-wide functional rules and standards
Training & Culture
- Deliver and coordinate compliance and data privacy training initiatives
- Lead Privacy Champion meeting prep and documentation
- Maintain intranet content related to compliance and privacy
Reporting & Investigations
- Assist with investigations and cross-functional compliance inquiries
- Prepare monthly metrics and stakeholder reports
- Review customer-facing materials for compliance with internal standards
What you will bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, related field OR equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience.
- 1-5 years of experience in compliance, data privacy, or insurance is a strong asset
- Strong data analytics, analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks and drive solutions
- Clear, confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align compliance goals with business needs
- Organized and detail-oriented, with strong project management capabilities
- Comfortable working independently and in global, cross-functional teams
