JOB PURPOSE/ROLE

Allianz Re is a division of Allianz SE within the H9 resort and is based in multiple locations around the globe. Allianz Re mainly offers reinsurance, runoff and advisory for Allianz internal and external customers.

The Cat Risk Management team is located within the Advisory & Services area, Allianz Re (Munich).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Cat OE communication around cat portfolio modeling, cat capital reporting, RI buying and cat portfolio management topics. Steering of seamless process between all stakeholders: OEs, Cat Portfolio Analytics, Cat Transactions and Group Risks CoC P&C.

Data standard definition, data analytics, report preparation and communication of cat modeling results for OEs, Group Risk and external stakeholders

Support of cat capital calculation for AZ Re and Group including reporting and communication to stakeholders and documentation of process and results according to regulatory requirement

Support of cat accumulation work streams and limit monitoring on AZ Re and Group level.

Support of development tools for risk capital calculation, data management and analytics and integration for process improvement.

KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Qualification:

Academic background and degree in natural sciences

Strong analytical and data analysis skills (e.g. SQL/SAS)

Strong expertise in common vendor models (e.g. RMS, AIR), certification is a plus

Programming skills (Python or other high level programming language) are a plus

Fluent English (written and spoken). German and other languages welcome

Experience:

Experience in cat risk modeling of large insurers or reinsurers portfolios

GIS software experience

Experienced in communicating to stakeholders and non-technical professionals

Interest in Reinsurance

Experience of working in an international environment with a wide range of internal interfaces.
