You are a fulltime student, looking for a WORKING STUDENT position and you would like to support 'the Airbus Optical Instruments team' ?

We look forward to you joining us as support for the 'optical Instruments' Team in Ottobrunn at the earliest possible starting date (18 hours/ week, flexi-time).

Location:       Ottobrunn / Munich
Start:               flexible
Duration:        12 months

·  Working students are students who are enrolled at a University or some other institution of higher education, and who are employed in a reasonably long, fixed-term position parallel to their studies.
·  This position must not be confused with an internship or with the possibility of writing a final thesis.
·  This employment usually takes place directly on the company's premises. A working student's main focus remains on their studies, which is why, during term-time, working students are not allowed to work more than 20 hours per week.
·  Working students therefore usually work near their place of study, so as to conveniently combine studying and employment.

Your exiting tasks

As a working student you will support the department in the development of new technologies for space.

We are Europe's largest manufacturer of Optical Instruments for space applications. Our group includes all relevant engineering disciplines and has the complete end-to-end capability to develop complex space instruments, starting from early feasibility studies, followed by development, manufacturing and testing phases up to in-orbit commissioning. Our portfolio includes all instrument classes, ranging from imaging spectrometers and meteorological sounders to LIDARs and high resolution cameras.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Setting up and optimizing an optical experiment
·  Planning and execution of tests       
·  Inspection of optical and photonic equipment
·  Analysis of data and performance assessment of experimental results and their interpretation

You offer:

·  Enrolled full time student (d/f/m) within Physics or similar field of study
·  Hands-on experience in the lab with optical elements and lab equipment is an asset
·  Experience with software such as Matlab or Python or Labview would be appreciate
·  Enthusiasm for new technologies
·  Experience in an international and multicultural environment
·  English Fluent, German desirable

You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently.
