Our Apprentices receive second to none training, gaining the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to enable you to make an immediate contribution when you enter the workforce. Airbus UK design, manufacture and manage the Supply Chain for Wings, Landing Gear and Fuel Systems on all Airbus Commercial Aircraft. Wing manufacture is performed at the world class Broughton Production facility whilst design and supply chain management is based in Filton, Bristol.
Components and parts are delivered from a supply chain spanning the globe. This supply chain is managed from the UK, and delivers into the Airbus Wing manufacturing plant in Broughton for onward delivery to Final Assembly Lines located in France, Germany, USA, Canada and China.
Our 4 years 3 months Supply Chain Operations Degree Apprenticeship gives you the chance to gain valuable experience within this crucial department, supporting the wide range of innovative aircraft produced by Airbus. Through this apprenticeship you’ll gain a full understanding of manufacturing and engineering with a focus on Supply Chain Operations, and learn how to apply this knowledge within a virtual factory environment.
You will gain a BSc (Hons) Professional Practice in Supply Chain Leadership delivered by Aston University, studying via a combination of block release weeks at the university and on-the-job work at our world leading engineering and manufacturing site in Filton, Bristol.
What you will be doing:
During your industry based work at Airbus you will gain hands-on experience across the Airbus manufacturing, design and quality functions via placement in associated departments throughout Airbus UK, working alongside key stakeholders within the Supply team, and internal and external suppliers.
Your role will be varied, developing your skills in managing key suppliers across a wide range of sectors and through disciplines such as machining and fabricating, ensuring full management of both capability and capacity of our suppliers. You will underpin your engineering degree with tasks supporting the implementation of new engineering technologies, and supporting transition from traditional engineering and manufacturing methodologies to new digital ways of working.
Through roles within our procurement department you will support key stakeholders and develop your knowledge of negotiation and contracts, whilst learning how to ensure the cascade of key design and manufacturing information.

Requirements:
We are looking for inquisitive and driven individuals with a desire to launch their career in Procurement, and build an understanding of the wider Airbus business. To be successful, you will need to be comfortable with communicating with a wide range of people and proactively collaborate within and beyond your placement teams to benefit from opportunities and implement solutions successfully.
In order to be eligible for this apprenticeship opportunity, you must have a minimum of:

3 A-Levels – a minimum of two Bs (one of which must be in Math s) and one C or equivalent subject to validation
AND
·
Minimum GCSE Grade C/4 or above in Mathematics and English Language
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

Important Information:
GRADES: If you are on predicted grades, your offer will be conditional to achieving the required grades before the apprenticeship start date.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance OR You will be subject to a BPSS check (including a criminal record check).
Our apprenticeship roles do not meet the minimum requirements set by UK Visas & Immigration to enable sponsorship of migrant workers.
