Airbus, the world's leading Aircraft manufacturer has exciting new job opportunities to join its Engineering teams.
Core activities include the design, engineering and support for Airbus wings, fuel systems and landing gear Integration. We develop our people to work on systems, structures and aerodynamics research, development and test facilities.

An exciting opportunity for a Stress Engineer has arisen in Airbus Broughton.

The job holder is responsible for carrying out and verifying stress calculations to assess design solutions for a range of tasks, ranging from modifications to manufacturing non-conformances against the aircraft design requirements ensuring that structural requirements are met and liaising with other functions and projects to ensure structural requirements are fully integrated.

They will operate as an approval signatory for stress and also assist in the structural design process to help ensure optimised design quality, support on-going continuous improvement initiatives to increase team efficiency through methods, process and other capability improvements, report critical technical issues up through functional management, provide technical leadership and approval for team members, supply base and other sub-contracted work.

Main activities:

The applicant may be required to work the Plant Shift Pattern of Double Days and / or Nights.

Required skills

As the successful candidate, you must be able to demonstrate the following:

o Educated to a degree level or equivalent in engineering
o Negotiation level of English
o Capable of attaining signature delegation status in Stress Engineering within 3 months
o Ability to work in a high performing, collaborative team environment
