Airbus Helicopters in Marignane is looking for an enthusiastic Software Engineer with strong Mission System Knowledge to join our dynamic Software Mission Department.

Your Role:
As a Software Engineer with Mission System Knowledge , you will be an integral part of the Software Mission Department , working alongside experts in software development, system design, and mission-critical applications. Your expertise in mission system integration will be crucial as you help develop software solutions that support mission objectives across a range of helicopter systems.
You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary and international teams to design, develop, and integrate software that supports essential mission systems.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and integrate software solutions for mission-critical systems , ensuring alignment with standard and requirements.
· Support the design and implementation of mission software by collaborating with engineers.
· Create detailed software specifications , validate them with the project team, and ensure all necessary documentation is completed for certification and approval.
· Support software testing and integration activities , ensuring the software functions as expected and meets all software requirements and performance standards within the helicopter platform .
· Work with cross-functional teams to identify risks , propose solutions, and ensure software systems meet the highest standards of quality.
· Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement by staying up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies.
Required Skills & Experience:
· A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering , Computer Science , Aerospace Engineering , or related fields.
· Strong mission system knowledge , with a focus on software integration within complex, safety-critical systems.
· Solid experience in software development and an understanding of aviation standards and regulations .
· Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, collaborative approach to working in cross-functional teams.
· Familiarity with software lifecycle management , including requirements gathering, design, testing, and validation.
· Fluent in English (written and spoken).
· Experience in C/C++ , Python , or other programming languages used in mission systems development (preferred).
· Familiarity with real-time systems , embedded software , or avionics is a plus.
· Experience with Agile methodologies: able to work in an iterative development environment and adapt to changing requirements.
· Strong ability to collaborate and be a team player , working effectively in a diverse and cross-functional team environment.
