An opportunity has arisen to join the Ground Systems organisation within Earth Observation, Navigation & Science (ENS) business line on a 12 month internship within the Project Management Office (PMO), which is an integral part of ensuring the success of Ground Systems in Portsmouth.

Tasks & accountabilities

During the Internship you will have the opportunity to support the PMO in the following activities:

·  The customer reporting process for the project(s) / prospects, ensuring that the requirements are fully met on schedule.
·  The internal stakeholder reporting process for the project(s) / prospects, ensuring that the requirements are fully met on schedule.
·  The management of the Project(s)/ Prospects action tracking process.
·  The Risk and Opportunity management process for the process, ensuring that all risks and opportunities are captured, actioned and fully reported.
·  The schedule maintenance process for the project(s) / prospects, ensuring that it is kept current, useable and implemented as the main tool for driving the achievement of the project milestones.
·  Support of Project(s) / prospects communication, improvement and administration activities.

Required skills

Please note our Internships are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore, it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole of the duration of the placement.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

·  Currently studying towards a first degree in Project Management, Business Management or related subject.
·  Proficiency in the use of all Microsoft Office tools.
·  Ability to work under their own initiative, as well as part of the project team.
·  Good written and verbal communication skills.
·  Knowledge of MS Project, P6, Sharepoint, JIRA is useful, but not essential.
