Location: Bremen
Start: as soon as possible
Duration: 6 months
The department “Aircraft Aerodynamics” is responsible for the aerodynamic characterization of all aircraft programs throughout the product life time. This includes contributing to the aircraft design, development, certification, production and in-service support.
Your exciting tasks:
· Develop mesh based scaling methods for aerodynamic pressure distributions to reflect geometry changes
· Apply machine learning methods for adapting pressure distributions to target aerodynamic coefficients
· Use different test cases to evaluate the developed methods and
· Compare your results to CFD simulations
You offer
· Enrolled student within Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics or similar field of study
· Safe handling with Linux, Python and MS Office
· Fluent in English
· A good knowledge in German is not mandatory but would be an advantage
You are a good team player, have good communication skills, and are able to work independently.
