Job Description:

Aircraft mechanics are responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing aircraft structural systems. They also help maintain hydraulic and mechanical systems, identify repair methods, and schedule routine updates. 

Operational activities
1.Responsibilities in running the day-to-day operations, and ensuring there is effective use of resources to achieve all the targets set 
2.Scheduling and overseeing routine maintenance checks.
3.Implementing and adhering to strict safety guidelines.
4.Using hand tools, diagnostic tests, and gauges to identify hydraulic and mechanical malfunctions.
5.Collaborating with engineers and system mechanics to ensure that all aircraft systems are running correctly.
6.Preparing diagnostics reports and suggesting repair solutions based on thorough evaluations.
7.Ensuring that all aircraft parts are accurately labelled, organized, and restored.
8.Performs regular maintenance on aircraft.
9.Ensures proper working condition of mechanical systems before flight.
10.Develops and maintains records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and any reports related to parts or services.
11.Inspects and examines engines, wings, propellers, tails, and other parts to identify cracks, corrosion, or other defects.
12.Inspects hoses and lubricates joints; replaces any that show signs of needing repair.
13.Consults maintenance manuals and specifications to identify correct operations and specifications for replacements or repairs.
14.Install new parts to replace or repair defective or recalled parts or to enhance the performance of the aircraft; performs these tasks efficiently and to specifications.
15.Ensures proper function of engines and operating systems via a variety of tests and tools.
16.Identifies and resolves mechanical problems based on visual inspections or reports from pilot or crew.
17.Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualitfication

1.Education: Junior college or equivalent required.
2.Experience: 3 years in aircraft maintenance or above
3.Basic Skills:
Basic read and written English 
Standard practice of mechanical 
4.Certifications:
CAAC Part 66 ME-TA licence or equivalent,
5.Technical Skills: 
5.1Thorough understanding of aircraft parts, systems, and mechanics.
5.2Thorough understanding of tools and testing methods used to ensure proper functioning of an aircraft and its parts, systems, and mechanics.
5.3Ability to read, comprehend, and adhere to manual instructions to resolve complex mechanical issues.
5.4Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software used to complete and maintain records.
5.5Detail-oriented with mechanical inclination.
5.6Superior and careful workmanship.
5.7Ability to perform consistently under stressful conditions.
5.8Ability to perform basic inspections and repairs.
5.9Ability to learn new skills and methods of repairs.
5.10Sufficient oral and verbal communication skills, as needed, to discuss equipment malfunctions and complete reports.
