Accountabilities
The jobholder represents Engineering and Chief Engineering in A320 family Final Assembly Line and Wide Body (A330&A350) Completion in the Delivery Centre in Tianjin.
The main accountabilities are:
· to provide technical solutions to resolve non conformities, compatible with the planning of aircraft final assembly, testing, and delivery
· to support Operations for any disruption in manufacturing process, and delivery with technical justifications to customer
Main activities
· Operational activities
The jobholder is in charge of:
· Analyzing Non Conformities discovered during aircraft assembly, testing and delivery. This usually requires to trouble shoot in order to find the root cause.
· Providing assessment of acceptability of the Non Conformity, rework solution to Non Conformity, and assessment of acceptability of the rework
· Providing long term solution to recurrent Non Conformities, through the proposition of design or manufacturing improvements. The design change can be initiated by design query note, followed by new modification or drawing updates.
· Creating temporary aircraft definition (through technical note or special instructions) in order to support the operational tests
· Supporting delivery by providing technical justifications to customers
The jobholder is in charge of all ATA chapters for Mechanical System Installation (MSI), ATA 25 Cabin/Cargo installation, and ATA 92 for Electrical/ Equipment Installation (ESI).
The jobholder supports final assembly, testing and delivery from sections delivery to the site to aircraft ferry flight from the site.

The jobholder needs to continuously develop his/her own competences with respect to technical and interpersonal skills.
Airbus processes mastery and application is key with respect to design privilege granted by airworthiness authorities.
Solutions proposed need to be consistent within the SA Engineering Support organisation, and agreed with Design Organisation overall. The jobholder needs to develop his/her network in Design Office. He/she is part of SA Engineering Support, acting in China, Europe and USA.
Outputs
· Operational Outputs
The jobholder will deliver guidance for trouble shooting, engineering assessment on non-conformities, description of concessions, and creation of special instruction, as required and in accordance with the lead time agreed with internal customers in final assembly line and delivery center.
· Developmental Outputs
The jobholder will develop his/her own technical and interpersonal skills as well as mentoring his/her peers and providing guidance to production and quality with respect to standard operational instructions and trouble shooting.

· Qualifications
· Education: Strong technical knowledge (Bachelor): Industrial design, Mechanic, Structure, Electricity, Aerodynamic, Physics, Automatisms and Control, Programming
· No Qualification or certification is required
· Ability
· Soft Skills: Rigorous, logical, organized, self-directed, self-confident, team player, constant learner, listener, customer focus, willingness and ability to act as mentor for newcomers
· Technical Skills: Technical background sufficient to understand and learn engineering technical documents and provide logical reasoning to solve problems
· Experience: Good aeronautical background in Engineering or Maintenance
· English: negotiation level
· Special requirement: flexible for standby, overtime.
