Airworthiness Assurance Engineer (d/f/m)
The Airworthiness Assurance Engineer belongs to the Airworthiness Assurance department, which is part of the CoC Airworthiness & Product Integrity.
The mission of the Airworthiness Assurance department is to ensure the continued compliance and effectiveness of the Design Assurance System (DAS) of the Approved Design Organisations (DOA) and of Suppliers having Design Responsibilities with applicable airworthiness requirements and to maintain the confidence of the Airworthiness Authorities in the Design Organisation and thus the approvals and privileges granted to the Design Organisation.
The Airworthiness Assurance department is also responsible for managing the interface between the Airworthiness Authorities and Airbus DS for the purpose of maintaining Design Organisation Approvals and privileges.

Your tasks and responsibilities
In order to achieve the above key tasks, the Airworthiness Assurance Engineer has the following responsibilities:
·
Conduct the surveillance of Design Organisation through proper application of airworthiness assurance tools (e.g. audits, scorecards, assessment of safety incidents with potential root cause in development operations, etc...), including investigation of findings and queries and their follow up until resolution.
·
Interface / Management function between Airworthiness Authorities and Airbus DS in order to maintain the Design Organisation Approval:
·
Management of this interface (monitoring, review meetings, etc.),
·
Ensure adequate preparation of the Design Organisation for Airworthiness Authorities audits (e.g. through dry runs).
·
Follow-up of measures to close/clarify findings and queries identified by Airworthiness Authorities.
·
Assessment of potential hazards, e.g. identified via the DOA-SMS (DOA: Design Organisation Approval, SMS: Safety Management System). Carry out investigations, define measures and follow them up until they are implemented in a timely manner.

Carrying out the monitoring function of the Engineering - SMS
·
Advisory function within the Design Organisation on DOA related issues.
·
Qualification and Surveillance of Suppliers having Design Responsibility
·
Support the DOA Management, Policies and Expertise department in its task to obtain, manage and maintain Airbus DS Design Organisation Approvals.
Desired skills and qualifications
·
Master Degree in Aeronautical Engineering
·
Experience in engineering of 3 to 5 years
·
Knowledge of DOA requirements in the military and civil regulations area
·
Open minded, cooperative team working
·
Highly motivated to learn new things
·
Auditor training and experience
·
Fluent German and English
