Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Flight Control Laws designer (F/M) to join our Long Range manual flight Control Laws team based in Toulouse, France .
You will join a group of 45 people working on manual and auto pilot flight control laws, within a specific programme team of about 5 to 10 people.
The design you will produce will directly impact the aircraft overall behavior and performance. It is in the end directly visible by the airlines.
This involves a unique link between the end-user needs and the specific design embedded in the Flight Control computers.
As such, you will be involved in trade-off and decision meeting at programme level to ensure design improvement deliveries and shape the handling of our aircraft.

Your challenges:
·
be responsible for Flight Control Laws from preliminary design up to certification
·
deliver detailed specification using formal specification tools (SAO/SCADE). As such you will be responsible for the delivery in time, quality and performance of your design integrated in the flight control system
·
present and justify your design, its performance and limitations in front of the flight tests engineers and flight test pilots
·
support flight tests engineers and flight test pilots during flight tests and simulator sessions
·
ensures validation and verification activities and their recording
·
follow in-service events, reported by the customer support or by the pilots, contributing to a key part of the continuous Airworthiness activities
Your boarding pass :
·
Automatic control or Flight Physic and dynamics background with experience in engineering systems.
·
Knowledge in Control simulation tools (i.e. Matlab, Simulink)) would be a strong advantage.
·
Autonomous, while being a strong team player; able to pay close attention to detail while also seeing the ‘bigger picture’.
·
Ability to interface with many different stakeholders, from different domains, different functions, and different countries.
·
Negotiation level in English; knowledge of French would be a plus.
This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
