Description of the job

A vacancy for a Inventory Controller has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Brize Norton.

You will be part of a medium team embedded in the Airbus Military Material Support Services Organization.

This is a unique opportunity to provide essential Material Support Inventory management as part of the introduction to service of the A400M aircraft to the RAF.

The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  You will be responsible for the day to day operational requirements of the CLF (Contractor Logistics Facility) involving all elements of logistic support operations satisfying all demands from all internal, operational and deployed locations and expediently action all receipt and dispatch activities.
·  You will ensure that all inventories are maintained at agreed levels within the CLF ensuring all functions of the CLF are performed to the highest standard and in compliance with Airbus Military Quality Management System (QMS) and CAA/EASA regulations on the storage of Aeronautical Supplies (CAP 562).
·  Ensure that all inventory is maintained at agreed levels across all Maintenance Bays and Forward stores area in support of the Engineering department at the Main Operating Base and Forward Operating Bases and Deployed Locations.
·  Verify that functions of the Storage areas are performed to the highest standard and in compliance with CAA/EASA and Military regulations where applicable.
·  You will be involved in the setting up of working processes and practices, and will be involved in the setting up of the logistics facilities on and of MOB and all aspects of Material Support Inventory Management.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Logistic or Inventory management experience
·  Part 145 awareness
·  Experience of a customer facing role either military or civilian aviation environment
·  Good computer skills, including word/ excel
·  Working knowledge of a QMS system for logistics operations and regulatory requirements for control of inventory
·  Able to work within a procedural and process driven working environment
·  Able to work to deadlines and deliver to high standards
·  Self-starter and able to work on own initiative

You should be able demonstrate tenacity and drive to ensure Material Support from Central is delivered within the contracted timescales. You should be a good team worker with a strong logistical or inventory background who is clearly focused on achieving the input/output whilst at the same time maintaining regulatory integrity
