Are you looking for an internship? Would you like to discover the work in the field of path planning, machine learning and artificial intelligence? Then apply now! We look forward to you joining us as an intern (m/f) at Airbus Defence and Space in Manching (35 hours/week, flexi-time).
Location: Manching
Start: Autumn 2018
Duration: 3-6 months
Online path planning is key enabler towards autonomy for aircrafts. We are not only looking forward to the theoretical analysis of approaches for path planning but also to practical implementations up to an flight demonstration on one of our systems.
Our goal is to tackle the full chain of cognitive processing covering all aspects of perception, cognition and action. Our solution space includes but is not limited to decomposition methods, probabilistic roadmaps, optimization techniques, fuzzy logic and others. We are looking for creative minds from the fields of path planning, machine learning and artificial intelligence, who are able to tailor their knowledge towards a solution which addresses the safe flying for multiple aircrafts in an dynamic environment.

· Implementation of algorithms
· Interactive analysis of approaches
· Enhanced optimization of algorithms

Required skills
You offer:
· Enrolled student within Aeronautical Engineering / Mathematics / Computer Science or similar field of study
· Know-How within Matlab, Simulink
· Familiar with path planning, sensor fusion, machine learning and artificial intelligence
· English: good
You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently.
