Job Description:

A vacancy for an "Internship in Aero-Acoustics" (d/m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful applicant will join " Acoustics and Vibration Manching".

The Loads, Aeroelasticity and Acoustics Domain is part of the Flight Physics Centre of Competence. Our mission is to design, analyse, certify, qualify, maintain into service and ensure the continued airworthiness of all the airvehicles developed within Airbus Defence and Space.

Functions and Responsibilities of the Acoustics and Vibration Team are Equipment and Store Qualification, External and Internal Noise Design and Development, Ground Test and Laboratory Activities, Support of Flight Test Campaigns.

Main Aircraft Programs are Eurofighter, Tornado, MALE RPAS and P-3C Orion.

Your Location:

Located about an hour’s drive north of Munich, Manching is an up-and-coming market town that offers a wide range of leisure and cultural activities. Here, you can enjoy the quality of life in the countryside while the pleasures of near-by cities are still within easy reach.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities :

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include flight test data analysis. Specifically:

·  Signal processing of acoustic data
·  Implementation of algorithms for De-Dopplerisation of acoustic fly-over data
·  Implementation of algorithms for aircraft noise directivity calculation
·  Presentation and documentation of activities and results

Required Skills and Experience:

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Enrolled full time Master Student in Aerospace Engineering or similar.
·  Experience with Matlab, CFD Software, Python would be a plus.
·  Ability to work in a multinational Team
·  Fluent English is mandatory. German would be an advantage
