The role is based within the Real Estate and General Zoning organisation across the whole Airbus UK portfolio of sites with direct accountability into the Airbus central GWLR organisation.

The departments’ mission is to manage and optimize the UK Real Estate portfolio and future Site Development based on business requirements and master planning within a GWL matrix organization delivering joint decisions and solutions aligned with both legal obligations, financial planning and the integrated structure “One FM&RE” (and One Airbus).

The department represents the owner and lessee of Real Estate Assets used by Airbus in the UK. We manage the investment and divestment of real estate assets, supporting acquisitions, carve-outs, disposals, leasing and renting in compliance with IFRS 16 guidelines including Lease’s.

We ensure transparency about Real Estate activities of the UK Airbus perimeter and its subsidiaries, as well as compliant processing by supporting or managing relevant real estate projects.

We further develop and implement optimized ownership structures for Real Estate assets inclusive of assisting the enablement of monetization as required.

Tasks & accountabilities

During this internship, the activities you may undertake will include;

·  Supporting the delivery of projects to optimise the Airbus Real Estate and General Zoning portfolio in the UK.

·  Engagement with external Property and Legal professional’s to assist the delivery of Real Estate Objectives.

·  Supporting the delivery of Business Case submissions for future Real Estate Acquisitions and Leasing of Land and Buildings

·  Supporting the Real Estate negotiations aligned with Airbus Legal to establish the most favourable terms available to Airbus for all kinds of Real Estate related contracts but especially for Real Estate Lease Contracts.

·  Supporting the delivery of Real Estate and General Zoning on behalf of the Airbus Asset owner (lessor) and supporting regional GWLU team to deliver Facilities Management Services to the Site /Plant users.

·  Supporting the delivery of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) projects within the Real Estate perimeter.

·  Assisting the maintenance of the UK Real Estate database and reporting regarding Real Estate assets for all Divisions

·  Supporting the compliance of Lease obligations with the management of the UK Airbus Real Estate Rental, Taxes (Business Rates) and associated Insurance

·  Supporting the delivery of Legal compliance associated with all Property Matters within the Airbus UK perimeter

Please note our Internships are open to undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement.
