A vacancy for a ‘ Digital Engineering Business Architect ’ (m/f) has arisen within Airbus (Commercial Aircraft) in Toulouse Blagnac. You will join the Digital Engineering Architecture department.

Customer Services Digital Solution is responsible for the delivery of Digital Solutions on Maintenance and Engineering perimeter, internally for Customer Services and externally to airlines, MROs and lessors. Example of solutions are Skywise Health Monitoring for aircraft diagnostic, Skywise Predictive Maintenance for predictive maintenance, Schedule Maintenance Optimizer for heavy maintenance optimisation, aircraft ground connectivity solutions for A320 & A330 with FOMAX and A350, A380 as well as airline IT connectivity, e-Doc Browser and Airnav suite for documentation, Skywise Reliability Services for airlines to compare themselves to the rest of the fleet...

Digital Engineering is in charge of designing and delivering software solutions in collaboration with IM, DTO and other involved domains, from experimentation to industrialization, including evolutive and corrective maintenance. Methodology is split between single agile teams to the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodology to be able to scale up to large development teams.

- Ensure consistency of capabilities between business processes, product segments (epics & capabilities), and study potential architecture scenarios
- Contribute to features definition for new digital capabilities and support development teams
- Drive transition from innovative MVPs (Minimum Viable Product) to industrial development
- Contribute to new way of working as per SAFe principles,

Task & accountabilities :

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

1. Contributing to the e-solution/Skywise Architecture vision,
2. Contributing to build new business capabilities in Co-Creation mode,
3. Ensuring smooth transition from MVPs to industrial capabilities by:
• Ensuring proper integration into the global ecosystem
• Identifying all reuse options
• Providing advice on takeover scenarios
• Providing functional and technical coaching to development teams
4. Ensuring project deliverables are consistent with the Architecture repository, meeting requirements and demonstrating traceability by:
• Performing specific functional and technical studies,
• Participating in Process & Method continuous improvement,
5. Supporting the e-solution/Skywise Go To Market team by defining technical solutions and associated costs fitting Airlines needs.

This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills :

You should demonstrate some of the following skills and competencies:

- Educated to a 5 years’ degree level (or equivalent) in Information Systems or a related discipline,
- Strong IT background and experience in Architecture,
- Knowledge and application of architecture modelling methods and tools,
- Knowledge and application of Agile and DevOps,
- Knowledge and interest in Design Thinking, Lean Startup concepts
- Strong interest in Airline Operations business,
- Creativity, Flexibility, Team spirit,
- Autonomy,
- Knowledge of Customer Services environment & processes would be a plus,
- Knowledge in Cloud, Big data and Analytics would be a plus,
- Language skills : An advanced level of English.
