What does your new challenge look like?
As a Data Scientist (f/m) for Predictive Maintenance, you will strengthen our Condition Monitoring & Data Management department and will be responsible for the development of customer-oriented solutions for aircraft diagnostics and preventive maintenance.
In our team, you will improve the operational safety of our aircraft and reduce direct maintenance costs for the airlines. You will be a key player in the development of these solutions in collaboration with Customer Service, which provides services and support for the airlines A350, A380 or Single Aisle/Long Range.

What can you expect?
· Analysing massive aircraft data in a multi-competence team including several internal interfaces e.g. testing, system specialisation and customer services
· Looking for and defining potential interesting precursors enabling aircraft preventive maintenance
· Proposing algorithms and applying them on a set of real aircraft data
· Develop customer-oriented solutions to diagnose the aircraft and to perform preventive maintenance actions
What's your challenge?
· Application of data analysis techniques to different types of aircraft data

· Clarifying technical questions with other engineers
Required skills
What do you bring?
· You have a degree in Business Informatics, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent
· You should have strong knowledge of Python and Pyspark, programming skills in Java or Scala
· You show strong experience of Big Data tools ecosystem Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark, Kafka, Storm, Flume and/or Oozie
· You have extensive knowledge of econometric models for processing time series and inferences such as ARIMA, SARIMAX and/or other models or tools for recognising rare events
· You have a deep understanding of advanced statistics and methods and algorithms of machine learning such as supervised and unattended learning, hidden Markov models, Bayesian networks and/or natural language processing
· You bring knowledge of deep learning tools and methods such as tensorflow, convolutional networks and recurrent neural networks
· You are a team player, work customer-oriented and have excellent communication skills
· You enjoy working in a multicultural environment
· You have a negotiation level of English, ideally you speak other languages such as German and French
This role will involve frequent travel for business once or twice a month mainly in Toulouse and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
