Satair - an Airbus Services Company (100% subsidiary of Airbus) - is looking for a Battery Technician (m/w/d) to join the team in Hounslaw, UK at the earliest possible start date. 

The role exists to ensure the customers batteries are serviced / repaired in line with customers’ requirements and the Regulatory requirements of both EASA & the UK CAA. This directly contributes to the profitable operation of the UK Battery workshop, maintaining Satair Quality standards & preserving ALL
external approvals whilst providing best in class services to all Satair customers.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

Extensive electrical component aerospace experience gained via either MRO or OEM environments. Able to work under pressure to exacting targets & regulatory requirements. Works well in a team, seeking team objectives in favour of own. Self-motivated, accurate & detailed. Able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders. Ability to build long lasting relationships with colleagues & customers. Computer literate and competent on Satair SAP systems (where this is required for the battery operations).

Detailed Duties & responsibilities
The basic responsibilities of a workshop battery technician is to maintain client batteries at the Satair workshop in line with the requirements of the relevant CMM in compliance with the requirements of all applicable regulatory bodies and in a safe and efficient manner.

Individual maintenance tasks
● Inspect all shipping containers upon arrival at the workshop. A Photographic record of any evidence of damage or leakage should be performed until all root causes are clear. Pictures and reports to be forwarded to workshop manager
● All associated paperwork should be correlated with item. Any discrepancies are to be recorded and forwarded to supervisory staff.
● Creation of workshop record documentation.
● Initiation of maintenance process in strict adherence to the requirements of the OMM/CMM
● Completion of all workshop records in a neat accurate manner.
● Preparation of battery for shipping after completion of maintenance process.
● Prepare any reports in a clear concise manner
● Completion of serviceability certification in line with EASA/CAA/FAA regulations.

General Responsibilities

● Report any errors or omissions noted within OEM documentation to supervisory staff.
● Complete any and all on-line or other training as required
● Communicate any and all concerns or technical issues clearly and in line with all regulations and company
policies applicable
● Prepare shift handover documentation in clear concise manner.
● Assume responsibility for ensuring all communication has been received and is clearly understood.
● Carry out any further duties as prescribed by supervisory staff, including but not limited to

o House keeping of workshop to high standard of cleanliness
o Investigation of new potential products as directed by workshop manager
o General warehouse duties
