At Airbus UpNext, we explore technology for sustainable, autonomous and connected applications in flight. By doing so, we are actively shaping the future of the aerospace industry.

We use demonstrators as the principal means of evaluating, maturing and validating new radical technological breakthroughs. We not only integrate and test the technology but help shape the foundations for infrastructure and flight regulations, enabling Airbus in its aim for a better-connected, safer and more prosperous world.

Our eXtra Performance Wing demonstrator will include demonstrations on Loads, Aeroelasticity, Handling qualities and Aircraft Performance.

Working with XWING’ teams, as an intern you will:

· 
Observe how aircrafts are operated with state of the art design

· 
Select potential innovative functions which could support aircraft operations

· 
Build a simplified model of these functions in our in house tool

· 
Evaluate in that environment the potential benefit

· 
Define potential tests to be done in flight

 

Duration : 6 months

Overall aircraft design knowledge 

· 
Python / Matlab proficiency 

· 
English, intermediary level mandatory
