Job Title: Receptionist
Duration: 6 months, extensions likely
Location: Birmingham (onsite)
Salary: circa £27000 per annum

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and friendly Receptionist to join our client's team in the rail industry. As the face of our client, you will be the first point of contact for both internal and external customers and stakeholders, representing the company and providing a delightful welcome.
Key Responsibilities:
· Be responsible for managing office meeting rooms, including booking and day-to-day usage and equipment.
· Monitor and manage the VSH email, telephone, and post to ensure the smooth running of the office.
· Collaborate with office partners and suppliers to enhance relationships.
· Process purchase orders and invoices using our accounting tool.
· Provide a reception and mail service within the building.
· Actively coordinate and improve office systems.
· Maintain a clutter-free office environment.
· Monitor and order stationary and supplies for a productive working environment.
· Ensure compliance with internal control regulations and enforce security access and safety measures.
· Manage office access passes to maintain strict security measures.
· Fulfil the role of Fire Precaution Manager to ensure office safety and minimise fire risk.
· Assist with booking travel, hotel rooms, and meeting rooms for the employee experience team.
· Provide friendly, helpful, and efficient phone support on behalf of the organisation.
· Occasional reception duties cover at 338 Euston Road when needed.
Requirements:
· Previous reception or customer service experience is beneficial.
· Good computer skills and ability to work independently.
· Strong communication skills with both internal and external customers.
· Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment.
· Proactive attitude to continuously improve practises and processes.
· Willingness to challenge requests that do not align with established processes.
· Knowledge of the railway industry is a plus but can be acquired in the role.
· No specific qualifications required.
