Job Title : Pressure Testing Technician
Location : Workington
Duration : ongoing (required urgently)
Employment Type : Temporary, Full-time potential to turn into permanent depending on candidate and business need.

Rate : £12.50 p/h

9 day working fortnight every other Friday off.

Hours of work 7am til 4.30pm Monday-Thursday, Fridays 7am til 3.30pm. With alternative Friday Off

Job Overview

We are delighted to be partnering with a local Engineering company to recruit a skilled and experienced Pressure Testing Technician to join their team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will have relevant certification in pressure testing, experience in the drilling industry, and a strong understanding of safety protocols. This position will be critical in ensuring the integrity of their products through precise and efficient pressure testing in their engineering factory.

Key Responsibilities:

·  Perform pressure testing on a range of engineering components and equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

·  Operate and maintain pressure testing machinery and equipment.

·  Prepare testing equipment, including calibration and ensuring proper setup.

·  Review engineering drawings and specifications to conduct accurate tests.

·  Identify and troubleshoot any issues or inconsistencies during the testing process.

·  Record and document test results, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.

·  Collaborate with the production and quality control teams to address any testing failures or concerns.

·  Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and guidelines during all pressure testing procedures.

·  Maintain testing records and generate reports for internal and external audits.

Qualifications:

·  Certification in Pressure Testing

·  Experience in pressure testing within the engineering industry.

·  Proven experience in working with high-pressure systems and components.

·  Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

·  Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

Desired Skills:

·  Hands-on experience in the drilling industry, especially in relation to pressure testing components used in drilling operations.

·  Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

·  Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
