Job Opportunity: Operator
Location: Felixstowe
We are on the lookout for a dedicated Fermentation Operator to join our client's production team. In this vital role, you will help drive innovation in the development and production of microorganisms and their derivatives, making a meaningful impact in the industry.
What You'll Do:
- Manage Fermentation Processes: Oversee the fermentation and culture train plants, ensuring operations run efficiently and meet quality standards. Your responsibilities will include preparing and initiating propagation cultures, sterilising storage vessels, managing separations, and maintaining detailed records.
- Coordinate Cream Loading: Take charge of cleaning and loading road tankers with approved yeast cream according to the day's loading plan. You'll ensure that all specifications are met, perform sampling, and maintain accurate documentation while working closely with tanker drivers.
- Support Operations: Contribute to fermentation and cream loading activities, manage bulk material receipts, and monitor utilities to enhance overall operational efficiency.
What We're Looking For:
Experience in a similar operational environment, this could be either:
- Pharmaceutical
- Brewery
- Food production, ideally with liquids
- Chemicals
- Strong English literacy and numeracy skills, with a good grasp of basic maths (addition, multiplication, averages, etc.).
- A detail-oriented multitasker who can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and a team player with strong communication skills.
- An adaptable mindset with a willingness to embrace change.
