Cybersecurity Engineer
Salary - £45,000 - £55,000
Bromley, Kent - Onsite full-time, can move to Hybrid-working gradually

Our client, an industry-leading organisation based in Bromley, Kent, is seeking a talented and experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to join their dynamic Systems Support Team. As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our client's IT infrastructure. You will work closely with the Systems Support Team to implement cutting-edge technologies and processes that will prevent, detect, and manage security breaches. With your expertise, you will contribute to the overall improvement of the organisation's IT security posture.
Responsibilities:
· Monitor for attacks, intrusions, and suspicious activities to maintain a secure environment.
· Evaluate and test security products, ensuring the effectiveness of our client's security measures.
· Stay up to date with the latest cyber threats and developments, researching and evaluating emerging threats and ways to manage them.
· Investigate security alerts and respond to incidents promptly, providing incident response as needed.
· Collaborate with stakeholders and third-party security monitoring solutions to address issues and provide valuable recommendations.
· Generate detailed reports for technical and non-technical staff, enabling them to make informed decisions.
Requirements:
· A track record of working with o365, advancing the secure score, and working through PEN tests.
· Strong knowledge of network security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and anti-virus software.
· Familiarity with Cloud technologies and Active Directory.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical team members.
· Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail, enabling you to identify patterns and trends in complex technical information.
· Ability to work under pressure and handle threats with ease.
· Experience in conducting network penetration testing and vulnerability mitigation.
Desirable Skills:
· Cybersecurity Certifications (highly advantageous)
· Experience with Azure, Tenable.io, FortiNet Firewalls, Rapid7, scripting, and Group Policy.
