Job Title: Account Manager
Location: Peterborough (office)
Salary Range: OTE in the region of £35k (negotiable depending on experience) including commission and bonuses
Contract Type: Permanent
Our client, a well-established, growing, family-run SME based in Peterborough, is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join their sales team. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing 100+ accounts, focusing on the 'bronze and silver' accounts, building and developing strong relationships with customers, and ensuring exceptional service.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated and driven individual with a hunger for success. You will be responsible for growing existing accounts by increasing share of wallet and introducing new products.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Act as the point of contact for dedicated customers' inquiries
· Build and develop rapport with dedicated accounts, addressing customer needs and concerns promptly
· Handle incoming sales inquiries via phone and email, identifying opportunities and securing orders
· Negotiate and close contracts with existing and new clients
· Monitor clients' budgets, explain cost details, and discuss terms of business
· Upsell and cross-sell products, ensuring customer satisfaction
· Follow up with clients to ensure their satisfaction with products and services
Requirements:
· Proven experience in a similar role
· Excellent time management and multitasking skills
· Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
· Familiarity with technical or complex information
· Sales experience, exceeding targets
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Experience within the construction/joinery industry is desirable but not essential
