Job Description
What you’ll do
We are looking for a Storekeeper to join the pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. Under the guidance of the Purchasing Manager, you’ll be responsible for the storage, distribution, maintenance and accounting of food and beverage, general supplies, and maintaining the cleanliness of the storage area according to standards.
· Verify receiving and storage procedures daily to ensure they are being followed.
· Verify that products are received, issued, documented, stored and ordered according to company guidelines.
· Coordinate with other departments on operational issues related to the warehouse when necessary.
· Maintain the file of requisition forms, ensuring that they are duly completed and acknowledged by the requesting party. The original copy of the applications is sent to cost control.
· Ensure that all items stored in freezers are properly packed in plastic bags and labeled with appropriate labels.
· Regularly inspect all stocks to determine the probability of deterioration and segregate those for priority issuance.
· Work closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen cleaning staff to ensure the highest standards of hygiene in all storage areas.
Qualifications
What we are looking for...
· Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business administration or related field.
· +2 years of experience in a hotel’s accounting department.
· Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail.
· Fluent in Spanish and English.
· You take ownership of important issues, solve problems, and make effective decisions.
· You learn quickly and adapt to SLS’s unique culture.
· You are humble and open to ideas. We leave our ego at the door and help get things done.
· You’re up for doing things differently and trying (almost) everything once.
