Job Description
As the Spa Supervisor , you are responsible for ensuring luxury and tranquility await our Guests at our Willow Stream Spa. You will be providing support to Spa leadership and staff, ensuring seamless transitions and service from check-in to check-out and everything in between.
Hourly Rate: $28.38
What you will be doing:
· Ensure Guest and Colleague satisfaction at all times by ensuring that safety and service are the spa's top priorities
· Performs supervisory duties including leading, coaching, performance management, counseling, scheduling and supervision of staff
· Promote sales of spa services and retail utilizing your extensive knowledge of all products and services
· Coordinate support staff schedules and time off requests/ trades to ensure adequate staffing
· Assist Experience Coordinators and Attendants as needed throughout the day and as coverage for sick calls
· Assist Spa Manager with facility maintenance and work orders to ensure peak operational performance
· Maintain through knowledge of competitors including locations, product offerings, pricing and promotions
· Administer and implement spa operations training (i.e. telephone etiquette, guest relations, sales, services, etc)
· Perform Spa tours for potential clients as needed
· Support the fitness coordinator with wellness offerings and the maintenance of the Fitness Center
· Maintain close and effective working relationships with other departments
· Maintain atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guests
· Focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
· Promote and enforce health and safety awareness as well as to have a complete understanding of the emergency procedures
· Establish, update and adhere to hotel and departmental policies, procedures and service standards
· Contribute to the improvement of the operation by contributing ideas, making suggestions and holding regular departmental communication meetings
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
· Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language.
· Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
· Must be service oriented and capable of communicating effectively with persons involved in all levels of authority, both internally and externally.
· Must possess basic computational ability.
· Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail functions.
· Must be able to multi-task and be detail-oriented in a fast paced, high volume environment.
· Must have ability to work independently and to prioritize or seek clarification in prioritizing work assignments.
Experience
· Minimum one (1) year supervisory experience required
· Experience in the hospitality industry is an asset
· Experience working in a Spa environment is an asset
Licenses or Certificates
· CPR Certification
· State of Hawaii Food Handler’s Certification
· TB Clearance
